At MBR Health, we've made it easier to access advanced medical imaging and specialist consultations without unnecessary delays, while ensuring every examination is clinically appropriate.
How It Works
1 — Select Your Imaging or Consultation
Choose the MRI examination, musculoskeletal ultrasound or specialist consultation you require and complete your online request.
2 — Pay with Credit Card or Paypal.
3 — We Call You to Confirm the Details
Our team will contact you to collect any additional clinical information, discuss your symptoms and confirm the examination or consultation requested.
We reserve urgent imaging appointments each day for acute injuries and time-dependent clinical conditions.
4 — Your Imaging, Results & Follow-Up
For imaging appointments, you will be asked to nominate a healthcare practitioner — such as your GP, physiotherapist, chiropractor or medical specialist — to receive your imaging results and coordinate any appropriate follow-up care.

All imaging requests are subject to clinical approval and appointment availability. Directly requested imaging is privately funded and may not attract a Medicare rebate.

We frequently hear from patients frustrated by delays in obtaining appointments and imaging referrals, particularly following acute injuries. Australian health data confirms that accessing timely medical appointments remains a significant challenge.
That's why MBR Health now allows patients to directly request selected MRI and musculoskeletal ultrasound examinations, without first obtaining an external referral.
Our services include:
- Acute Sports Injury MRI & Ultrasound — advanced imaging for knee, foot, ankle, hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder injuries, with urgent appointments reserved daily.
- Advanced 3T Spinal MRI — high-resolution lumbar, cervical and thoracic imaging.
- Specialist MRI — including dedicated high-resolution endometriosis examinations.
- Private Consultations with Dr Zane Sherif — direct access to a specialist radiologist for detailed spinal imaging review and discussion of potential treatment options.

Every imaging request is reviewed by a specialist radiologist to confirm its suitability, with informed consent, appropriate safety screening and a nominated healthcare practitioner to receive results and coordinate follow-up.
