Private Imaging Request — Clinical Approval Required

You may request this examination without first obtaining an external GP referral.

All direct imaging requests are reviewed by an MBR Health specialist radiologist to confirm the examination is clinically appropriate. You must nominate a treating medical practitioner to receive the report and arrange any necessary follow-up.

This is a privately funded service and no Medicare rebate applies under the direct-request pathway.

Submitting an online request or making payment does not guarantee the examination will be performed. If the requested imaging is not appropriate, our team will contact you regarding alternative arrangements or a refund.

MRI and ultrasound do not use ionising radiation, but safety screening and other clinical considerations still apply.

Important: Suspected dislocation, significant fracture, loss of circulation or sensation, major weakness, open injury or rapidly worsening symptoms require urgent medical assessment rather than routine online imaging. A normal scan does not necessarily exclude injury.
